Dear RCS Members Please join us for this fellowship walk at Lower Pierce Reservoir. The Lower Peirce Reservoir, Singapore's second-oldest reservoir, was built by impounding the upper reaches of the Kallang River and was commissioned in 1912. The forest that lines its banks is considered a mature secondary rainforest and is still dotted with numerous rubber trees and oil palms – visible reminders of a past when vast areas of Singapore were covered with plantations. Visit the Lower Peirce Trail running through the forest and along the edge of this reservoir. Along this charming 900-metre boardwalk, you’ll be greeted with captivating views of regenerating secondary forests that line the reservoir as well as a variety of flora and fauna. We complete the walk with breakfast at the Casuarina Curry Prata House . TRANSPORT WILL BE PROVIDED TO THE CSC KOPI FRIENDS EVENT AT 10.30PM Looking forward to your continuous support regards Rtn Raj Kumar +96967624

Residents of the Aged Sick seldom get a chance to get out of the home. They really look forward to day trips such as this. Help us help them see the world. Let's make a difference to them together. CSC is organizing a day trip to the River Safari for 15 residents of the Society for the Aged Sick (SAS) on 21 September 2019. SAS is a not-for-profit nursing home that provides residential and respite services to people in need of daily skilled nursing care and/or assistance in activities of daily living, and who cannot be cared for at home, particularly the less privileged. Dear Members On behalf of the Club Rotary Foundation Committee (CRFC), I would like to invite you and your Spouse to attend the District Rotary Foundation Dinner on 08 Oct 2019. We are privileged to have Past RI President and current Rotary Foundation Chair, Gary Huang as the Guest of Honour. Gary Huang was RI President in 2014/2015, during the Presidency of PP Perlita Tiro. PRIP Gary will be best remembered for his gargantuan efforts in propelling Taiwan as the top few TRF-giving countries in the world. Other than hearing the keynote speech by PRIP Gary, the Dinner also hopes to raise awareness of the Foundation’s objectives and how it does good in the world. Our District hopes to raise and commit at least USD$750,000 for this Rotary Year 2019/2020 and is looking towards our Club to lead the District in terms of attendance and contributions. For the newer Rotarians in our Club, this will be a great opportunity to meet Rotarians from our District including those from Johor, Malacca, Sabah, Sarawak and Brunei. RC Singapore has committed to a number of tables in terms of attendance and we hope that you will support this event together with your Spouse. Furthermore, come in numbers to show your support for PRIP Gary, who is a Member of our Sister Club, RC Taipei and always speaks fondly of RC Singapore, as well as for our very own PP Dr Shahul Hameed, who has been invited to speak on how the Rotary’s Global Grants touched lives and do good in this world.
